We guarantee that if you are a UK business that directs your 084 SwitchboardFREE™ number to a UK landline, then this will be of no cost to you. You can keep and use the number for as long as you like and you'll not be charged and you will not receive any bills.

To call an 084 number nationally, at any time of the day or night from a UK landline costs 4.2 pence per minute plus VAT. This is classed as a ‘low call rate’.

Calls from a mobile phone vary depending on your individual tariff and provider but typically calls from a mobile will cost around 20 pence per minute.*

If you're not ready to use your number or there's a delay in advertising your number, all you need to do is make one call to your 084, once a month to keep the number open. If no calls are taken for 60 days we will reclaim the number, but don't worry; we'll email you if you forget.
